Exquisite small gem, an antique hat or lapel pin from the Arts and Crafts Period circa 1900s. Made in 14k Gold with a small natural seed pearl and round Turquoise cabochon. The Turquoise stone pattern creates the illusion of a reptile's eye. Excellent choice of stone in my opinion!

Camphor glass gets it's name from the chemical counterpart, a resin from an evergreen tree that used to be sold in pharmacies of the old days as a first aid antiseptic and an after-shave for nicks for the gentleman. Sold in square blocks of translucent white resin, it looks just like etched glass.
