Antique 14k Gold & Mother of Pearl Cufflinks & Shirt Button Set in Original Box
Superb antique set for the gentleman includes cufflinks and 2 sets of 3 shirt buttons or studs in original velvet box. Box is beautiful too, velvet outside with silk liking and Mother of Pearl closure.Marked "John Wanamaker, New York, Jewelers & Silversmiths, Philadelphia, Paris, London". A very fine set indeed.
Cufflinks are oval, measuring 5/8" tall by 7/16". Enhanced with vivid mother of pearl ovals trimmed in white gold. The balance of the cufflinks is yellow gold. Each is marked 14k on the connector. Both sides of each cufflink are identical.
There are 2 groups of 3 coordinating shirt or tuxedo buttons. One group is identical to the cufflinks with the white gold trimmed setting. The other is made of just plain Mother of Pearl rounds. The buttons are a bit over 1/4" in diameter. The plain ones appear larger but that is an optical illusion. Buttons are marked on the push in stem.
Overal weight for the set (not including the box, of course) is 11.1 grams. All including the box are in excellent condition, dating from around 1900s. A beautiful ensemble for the Groom.
