Antique 6ct Gold Egyptian Revival Ring Bohemian Garnet

Gorgeous antique ring! It has a gold content, probably 6cts and is solid. A great image of Pharaoh framed by a serpent. The Bohemian Garnet is placed at the serpent's head. The Pharaoh's headdress is enameled in green and red, only a little of the original colors are left.

The ring has ornamentation all the way around. It is truly exquisite! The front measures 1" tall and 5/8" at the frame formed by the serpent's body. From the tip of the nose to the back of the shank in the front the measurement is 5/8". The shank itself tapers to 1/8" in the back. Ring size is 5.5 US and the shank is 17mm in diameter.

Overall and considering the age the ring is in excellent condition. It does show wear but has no damage per se. It is a very unusual ring and dates from the Victorian Edwardian Era 1870'. This type of jewelry was quite popular through the 1800 as more and more archeological sites were found and their treasures brought to the Western World.
