Antique Art Nouveau Period Art Glass Brooch - Outstanding Beauty

Reminiscent of Klimt, the art glass in this brooch is truly spectacular. A band of iridescent specks and and Silver is molded into the glass. It is hard to describe. The color is beautiful too, Lapis Lazuli is what comes to mind. I have never seen anything quite like it.

It measures 1 1/8" tall at the center by 2 1/8" wide. The cabochon is domed and reaches 3/8" high at the center. Measurements are approximate. Stone is bezel set, the setting trimmed with rope style twist.

Brooch is in excellent condition. Closes with a simple c clasp. Unknown maker, no marks. Dates from around 1900.
