Exquisite Antique Gilt 800 Silver Large Watch Fob Etruscan Revival

A truly fabulous antique pocket watch fob, Etruscan Revival style. It is entirely hand wrought in 800 Silver, with cannetille accents and a large oval Carnelian cabochon that is bezel set base. Intricate detail and elegant design which also includes reticulated silver dots. Certainly made by a master of the craft.

It measures over 1 1/4" tall overall, including the ring on the top. The base is rectangular and measures 7/8" by 11/16" .  The oval bezel set Carnelian measures 3/8" wide by 1/2" tall approximately.  It is a heavy piece at 10.5 grams.

This antique pocket watch fob is in excellent condition with no loss to the plating. It is marked 800 on the loop at the top. There are no maker's marks. Estimated date 1880s, likely to be European in origin.
