Antique Victorian Scrolled Round Gold Shell Locket Pendant Fob

Beautifully hand chased scrolls adorn one side of this antique Victorian Gold shell locket. The other side is engraved with initials so elaborate they are hard to read.  The round locket measures 1" in diameter. Made for 2 pictures secured by pressure fitting. It is in excellent condition with only one line which is disguised by the scrolls.

Gold shell is similar to gold filled, the external layer is Fine Gold. Locket is marked "1/4 Gold Shell" and the maker's mark W & H Co inside a heart. Circa 1890s.
