~ Art Deco Pot Metal Brooch by Reinad, Signed & Rare ~
This is a gorgeous Art Deco brooch, the shape resembles a flower. It is fairly large at 2 1/4" in diameter but the real impact comes from the large and very sparkly rhinestones!
It is a round brooch with a raised center, the circle of large drops angled up and the row of alternating drops and baguettes is angled down. The angles increase the light reflections, plus the stones are big at 1/2" long by 5/16" at the widest point. Rhodium plated with bright silver finish.
Besides being gorgeous, it is also rare. Made and signed by Reinad, their jewelry is quite scarce and very desirable. The Reinad Company was a "Jobber", which means they made jewelry for others and such names as Chanel at the height or her career (1930s) and Boucher to name a few.
Brooch is in exceptionally good condition considering it is about 80 years old. Signed Reinad in script on the reverse side.
