Vintage Strand of Cultured Pearls from the Art Deco Period

Gorgeous, perfectly round and perfectly matched, the pearls on this beautiful classic necklace are likely to be from Fresh Water source as they exhibit a green fluorescence under black light.  Regardless of the source, the quality is excellent. Each pear is over 6mm in diameter, a bit shy of 1/4".  The necklace is 19 1/2" long and closes with a filigree clasp marked simply "Silver". The clasp is also enhanced by a single small pearl.

Each pearl is individually hand knotted on silk. The necklace is in excellent vintage condition, the pearls have good luster and no visible blemishes. The spacing on the necklace in 2 pearls is slightly longer due to the natural stretching of the silk. Not noticeable when worn. Beautiful vintage bridal necklace as well, to be enjoyed for many more years to com.
