Quality - Many of the designers of Vintage Costume Jewelry started out as Fine Jewelers. Panetta was a master in Platinum and Alfred Philippe of Trifari had worked as Jeweler for Cartier.

Variety - There is a style for every mood and occasion, and many styles can be changed, parts can be added or taken away,. Coro Duettes are a perfect example of that. A pair of dress clips that becomes a brooch. How creative is that?

Green - If you like jewelry and live a green lifestyle, you can't go wrong with vintage jewels.

Price - although some rare pieces can go into thousands, there is no way you could by the quality, style, variety and design for the same price today.

Investment - if you know the trends you can make some pretty good investments, on occasion.

Bouche Abstract Modern Brooch Pendant Earrings Set

Gorgeous Abstract Modern set by Marcel Boucher. Gold tone metal, richly plated, with genuine Cultured Pearls (not imitation). Boucher used a lot of finer natural materials incorporated into his costume jewelry designs. He was a master jeweler specializing in Platinum pieces. His designs are beautiful, classic and timeless.  The quality is excellent.

Victorian Revival Locket Pendant

Vintage Victorian Revival oval locket pendant with detailed frame, Mother of Pearl and small Bakelite Cameo cover. It measures 1 1/16" tall not including the ring or the bail on top, by almost 7/8" wide and 1/4" thick not including the cameo. It is  good vintage condition with minor loss of plating that is not noticeable in person. Has room for one photo with bezel and clear film photo cover in place. It does not look like it was ever used. Well made vintage locket, is unmarked.

Antique Victorian Oval Locket

Beautiful antique Late Victorian Period Locket with handsome young man photograph. It measures 1" tall not including the loop or bail by 5/8" wide and a bit over 1/4" thick. Lovely canetille accents on the front with applied white gold filled florets. Locket is in excellent condition, it has room for 2 photos. The bezels and clear celluloid covers are also present. Dates from around the Turn of the Century from the gent's clothing style and the style of the locket. No maker's mark I could find.

Transform almost any brooch or pin into a pendant with this cool invention. Simply open the pin stem and insert it into the hollow tube, then close the pin as usual. Add a chain and it is a new necklace. The bail is large enough to accommodate a chain, cord or bead/pearl strand up to 1/4" in diameter. Better suited for medium to thick chains. This one is silver tone and made for vertical pin stems. Included are small plastic stoppers in case they are needed to secure the brooch in place when the stem is wider.

Adorable tiny gold filled heart locket from the 1960s, perfect for a charm bracelet. Very well made and detailed with fancy bail and chased pattern on the front. It measures 11/16" tall including the bail by 7/16" at the widest point and almost 1/8" thick. It is very good condition , opens and closes and stays closed. There are dimples on the back consitent with age and regular wear. Unmarked.

Purchased these in Rio de Janeiro, they are so hard to find! This is the largest of the three figas on the pictures. It measures almost 15/16" tall not including the ring on the top, which is 1/2" in diameter. The ring is soldered for security. Nicely detailed, the wrist has a bracelet of it's own.

Pendant is a bit over 1/2" tall , bail included. Beautiful raised setting, very nicely made. Chain is delicate and very strong with a very unusual heavy clasp marked "Butterfly" and 14k.. It is 24" long. Overall weight is 1.9 grams for chain and pendant.Measurements are approximate. In excellent vintage condition. Carefully tested to confirm gold content.

Lovely 10k Gold seed pearls sunburst or star pin pendant from the Victorian Period. It needs a cleaning and is missing one single tiny pearl on the ray on the lower right of the picture. All rays have 5 pearls, that one has 4. It needs a good polishing too but it is in good condition. No marks. Weighs 2.3 grams. Carefully tested to verify content.
