Classic Mexican Sterling Demi Parure Necklace Earrings Set

I love this set not only because it is so easy to wear, but also because it is wonderfully hand made.

The necklace is composed of 50 beads, each handmade and measuring 8mm round, threaded on a delicate but strong Sterling chain and finished with a box clasp that is also handmade and marked only 925 in the back. There are no maker's marks. The necklace could be Mexican but it could also be Native American. It measures 16 1/4" long when closed, inside circumference. Weighs 32 grams approximately.

The earrings are drops with screw backs and measure 1" overall. The top part is an orb of about 8mm (same size as the beads on the necklace) and the drop itself is 12mm. Although it is solid and not a bead (the loop is soldered on the top) the drop is light weight and comfortable to wear. They are marked "Silver, Mexico" on the back of the post.

These were found separately but I am thrilled they make such a gorgeous and wearable set. In excellent vintage condition with a beautiful light patina that just enhances the shapes.
