Fun - you can play dress up or incorporate into a modern wardrobe. It's always fun.

Quality - Many of the designers of Vintage Costume Jewelry started out as Fine Jewelers. Panetta was a master in Platinum and Alfred Philippe of Trifari had worked as Jeweler for Cartier.

Variety - There is a style for every mood and occasion, and many styles can be changed, parts can be added or taken away,. Coro Duettes are a perfect example of that. A pair of dress clips that becomes a brooch. How creative is that?

Green - If you like jewelry and live a green lifestyle, you can't go wrong with vintage jewels.

Price - although some rare pieces can go into thousands, there is no way you could by the quality, style, variety and design for the same price today.

Investment - if you know the trends you can make some pretty good investments, on occasion.

Steam Punk Watch Movement Cufflinks

Made long before the term Steampunk was ever created, these are watch movement cufflinks and I believe they were salesman gifts from the Berex Watch Co.  Movements look identical, both are entirely gold plate and measure 25mm by 16mm (roughly 1" by 5/8" wide).  One movement is marked Seventeen Jewels, 2 adjustments, Swiss, Granby, the other is marked 6 Jewels.

Elegant antique cufflinks in 14k Yellow Gold with chased surface Platinum fronts. Pair comes in it's original box. Estimated to date from the 1910s. Each cufflink circle is 9/16" in diameter and slightly domed.Each cufflink is marked on the stem "PL on 14K". Carefully tested as well. In excellent condition, they will arrive in their original gift box from M. Bernstein, Jeweler and Optician, 126 Park Avenue, Plainfield, NJ.

Outstanding vintage Japanese Zougan or Damascene cuff links with amazing detail. The front portion features a landscape with Mount Fuji at the background, finely detailed building and trees. The perspective is also excellent giving life to the landscape. The other side of the cufflink is narrower and depicts a tall bamboo stalk, other vegetation and leaves.

Gorgeous little jewel in Tortoise Shell with Sterling Silver, Gold and Abalone inlay. It measures 13/16" in diameter. It is in good condition for it's age, the Tortoise is not dry. It has lost a little bit of the Silver but it is gorgeous just the same. The tiny little flower at the center has Abalone shell leaves, Sterling petals and Gold vine curls.
