Edwardian Style Engagement Ring 14k White Gold & Diamonds
Outstanding Edwardian Style vintage 14k White Gold and Diamonds
ring, estimated to date from the 1980s but perhaps a bit more recent
according to my jeweler. Besides being a large ring, the style and
details are simply gorgeous. The large setting measures 9/16" wide by
1/4" tall and it rises 1/4" above the hand.
The setting is
beautiful with tiny diamonds set on the profile of the ring, 3 on each
side. The highest point of the setting contains 9 stones with a larger
one at the center. This arrangement gives the illusion of one large
stone. In this portion of the setting, the stone sizes are
approximately 13 points for the largest stone at the center. The second
largest stones which are set in the corners of that area measure at
least 3 points each. The smallest stones at the center are set in
North-South-East-West position measure about 1 point each.
As the
setting steps down to the sides, the stones in the lower portions are
set in a flower shape similar to the arrangement on the higher portion
except that there is a larger center stone at a minimum of 2.5 points,
surrounded by 8 stones at 1 point each. This is repeated on the other
side of the setting.
Total weight measurements are, approximately:
Ring weighs 5 grams.
Total
of 33 stones, including the small diamonds on the side of the
setting, total points approximately 40 or 0.40 Carat in diamonds. Please
keep in mind this is approximate as the weight of the diamonds on the
sides of the setting is not included.
Ring Size is 6.75 US, it can be resized.
We
are not diamond specialists but looking at the stones with a jeweler's
loupe they look eye clean. We are not sure there has been any
enhancement done and the price point we are offering these at does not
afford a full laboratory report. We prefer to keep the price reasonable
and provide you with an affordable fine jewelry piece. I am sure you
will be pleased with this beautiful ring.
