Fun - you can play dress up or incorporate into a modern wardrobe. It's always fun.
Quality - Many of the designers of Vintage Costume Jewelry started out as Fine Jewelers. Panetta was a master in Platinum and Alfred Philippe of Trifari had worked as Jeweler for Cartier.
Variety - There is a style for every mood and occasion, and many styles can be changed, parts can be added or taken away,. Coro Duettes are a perfect example of that. A pair of dress clips that becomes a brooch. How creative is that?
Green - If you like jewelry and live a green lifestyle, you can't go wrong with vintage jewels.
Price - although some rare pieces can go into thousands, there is no way you could by the quality, style, variety and design for the same price today.
Investment - if you know the trends you can make some pretty good investments, on occasion.

Very nice set of 3 vintage bangle bracelets from India. Made in the 1970s from Bone and Brass. Each measures 1" tall by 1/2" thick at the center with inside diameter of 2 1/2". They are in excellent vintage condition and a really great Summer look with a gold tone chain necklace like the Monet ones we have in stock.
Gorgeous hand painted panels Persian vintage bracelet measures 1 7/8" wide by approximately 7" long. Very unusual clasp with applique of dimensional grapes. Panels alternate between abstract and figural, done in incredible detail. From the style of the clasp, it is estimated to date from the 1930s. Condition is very good with minor loss due to age and regular wear. Unmarked.
Purchased these in Rio de Janeiro, they are so hard to find! This is the largest of the three figas on the pictures. It measures almost 15/16" tall not including the ring on the top, which is 1/2" in diameter. The ring is soldered for security. Nicely detailed, the wrist has a bracelet of it's own.
Gorgeous and very unusual vintage Mexican Sterling Silver bangle/clamper bracelet features a shadow box style design and petroglyphic style depictions of horse, riders, the bull and toreador. The technique is fascinating and the result truly unusual. Each image is a stylized cut out, sometimes enhanced by small chased lines that complete the figures and the action

This beautiful Art Deco style Chinese necklace comes from my personal collection. It was purchased vintage in the 1980s. I love it, it is gorgeous, but I do not wear it much due to my lifestyle. It should go to a home where it will be loved and enjoyed. The necklace is estimated to date from the Art Deco Period, although it could be as new as the 60s. It was purchased as an older necklace but without a specific date I can remember.
Pair of old Chinese Silver bangle bracelets with intricate filigree and applied figures. The figures represent each of the 12 signs of the Chinese Zodiac in great detail. They are the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake,Horse,Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and the Pig. Each of these is represented. The filigree is very well made too, there is a lot of detail on these hand wrought bracelets.
Fabulous vintage frangia or branch coral from the Mediterranean Sea necklace. The branches of Coral are natural and fairly large in size. This larger size is very hard to find and I expect will become even harder. Estimated date is 1970s.
Deep blue oval Turquoise cabochon set in Sterling is the style of this vintage Mexican ring. The face of the ring measures 1 1/8" by 7/8" wide. The stone itself, measured on the setting, is 7/8" tall by 5/8" wide.
Adorable 3D charms in gold gilt Fine Silver with Champleve enamel accents. Likely to have been made for export or as souvenirs in China around the 1940s, each charm is dimensional and very detailed. There are 10 different ones
Beautiful ethnic India articulate bangle bracelet with large oval Jasper cabochon center. It measures 1 3/8" wide overall and 1 7/16" wide at the stone center. Entirely hand made of stamped brass, bone tiles and Jasper, this is a classic 1970s style. Brass has acquired the most beautiful gingerbread patina.
This very special vintage necklace is made of tiny natural Sandalwood beads, tiny Coral or Coral color beads (they are too small for me to tell for sure, so I will not state they are) with two large Bodhi Tree seeds. Buddha attained Enlightenment while meditating under a Bodhi Tree. There are 20 strands that meet at the seeds.
Entirely handmade vintage chain necklace. It is composed of twisted wire links gathered at the center. Each set of two links alternates with a Turquoise Faience Scarab bead. Most of these were made in Egypt. I believe this one is from the 1970s.
Lovely Native American Sterling and Turquoise petite size clip earrings likely to date from the 1940s. They measure 9/16" in diameter and are in excellent vintage condition. There are no maker's mark.
A real Bahiana always wears her Penca de Balangandan necklace on parade Sunday of Carnival. This rare charm necklace is a part of History and Folk tradition in Brazil. It is said that Brazilian Slaves wore theirs as a combination of memories from the land they were so forcefully taken from and of religious images that brought them comfort.
Wonderful combination of light watery and deep shades of green off-set by the regal royal blue of Lapis Lazuli stone. The Jade has been tested electronically. The entire necklace is hand made including the beads which have a satiny finish. Small accents of silver tone metal beads, likely low grade silver. They are not plated.
Wild Summer vintage Ethnic style long pendant necklace. The pendant is composed of 3 pairs of claws, assembled back to back and finished with a tassel and charms. It is wild indeed! Each claw is carved out of horn and not a real claw, but it does look like it. The pairs are articulated making the pendant fluid, it moves as you do. Metal is base metal, likely Copper, with silver plating. The pendant is entirely hand made. The chain is also silver tone and it closes with a simple hook clasp.
Beautiful chunky Sterling Silver Mexican bracelet featuring large Green Stone masks. There are 5 links, 3 are large masks, each measuring 1 1/4" high and 2 are smaller ones at 7/8" tall. Each of the marks is prong set on a Sterling Silver base. The fact that the setting is almost invisible is quite appealing.
