Vintage Joan Rivers Enamel Rhinestone Hot Air Balloon and Heart Figural Brooch Pin

Lift your own heart with this very cute and well made hot air balloon figural pin or brooch by Joan Rivers. Made in gold tone metal, the balloon is colored by fired enamel and enhanced with rhinestones. The balloon's basket is a large heart shaped very sparkly stone that looks more like Cubic Zirconia than a regular rhinestone.

The balloon is dimensional and almost 1/2" at the highest point. Overall the brooch/pin is a bit over 1 5/8 tall and 1" at the widest point.

Dating from the 1980s the construction and materials are of very high quality. Most of Joan River's earlier jewelry is very well made.  It is marked on the back with the oval tag.

It is in very good vintage condition with minor loss of plating or darkening on the inside of the balloon as you can see in the photos.
