Panetta

Benedetto Panetta started out as a Jeweler in Naples, Italy.  In 1901, after running into some tough times he emigrated to the US where he worked exclusively in Platinum.  During the Depression years he started to work in lesser metals where his experience was put to great use. His designs are as close to the real thing as possible, the finishing touches and the construction of his jewelry is the same as used for fine jewelry.  All of the rings designed by Panetta that I have sold are exquisite. Real gemstones, fine jewelry construction and gold over Sterling Silver (Vermeil).

Because his work is so beautiful and so well made, he was in high demand. After moving to the world of Costume Jewelry Panetta worked as the Chief Model Maker for Trifari and was a key factor in helping to create the stunning and highly styled jewelry collections that are so sought after today.

After Trifari moved to Rhode Island in the 1930's Panetta decide to remain in New York where his own family was now established and worked for another highly regarded maker, Pennino Brothers, before starting his own company in 1945.

Due to the very high standards held by Panetta, his designs were never cheap even new and production was always limited, making it a real find when you do get one!
