Quality - Many of the designers of Vintage Costume Jewelry started out as Fine Jewelers. Panetta was a master in Platinum and Alfred Philippe of Trifari had worked as Jeweler for Cartier.

Variety - There is a style for every mood and occasion, and many styles can be changed, parts can be added or taken away,. Coro Duettes are a perfect example of that. A pair of dress clips that becomes a brooch. How creative is that?

Green - If you like jewelry and live a green lifestyle, you can't go wrong with vintage jewels.

Price - although some rare pieces can go into thousands, there is no way you could by the quality, style, variety and design for the same price today.

Gorgeous Abstract Modern set by Marcel Boucher. Gold tone metal, richly plated, with genuine Cultured Pearls (not imitation). Boucher used a lot of finer natural materials incorporated into his costume jewelry designs. He was a master jeweler specializing in Platinum pieces. His designs are beautiful, classic and timeless.  The quality is excellent.

Silver Tone Retractable Watch Chain Pin

Vintage retractable watch chain, fob or keychain is perfect to keep your keys easy to find in your purse. It will hold almost anything that can be attached to the clip end. Pull the clip and the chain extends up to 15" long. In excellent vintage condition, it is marked "Ketchem" on the safety for the pin and Ketchem McDougal, East Orange, NJ" on the back. Front has a machine turned pattern. Circa 1950s.

Transform almost any brooch or pin into a pendant with this cool invention. Simply open the pin stem and insert it into the hollow tube, then close the pin as usual. Add a chain and it is a new necklace. The bail is large enough to accommodate a chain, cord or bead/pearl strand up to 1/4" in diameter. Better suited for medium to thick chains. This one is silver tone and made for vertical pin stems. Included are small plastic stoppers in case they are needed to secure the brooch in place when the stem is wider.

Van Dell Chatelaine Watch Pin Set

Beautifully made floral motif chatelaine brooch or pin made by Van Dell. Metal is gold filled, mostly Yellow Gold overall but the petals in the flowers are Rose Gold. Excellent example of Retro Jewelry, dates from the early 1950s. Included is the original box. There is some color change to hte outside, but the interior is in excellent condition.

Beautifully made rhinestone owl brooch in shades of gold, red and green rhinestones set on gold plated background. The stones are prong set. The eyes are large red rhinestones. The shade of red is known as Light Siam and is not as deep as Garnet. Very well made, it measures 2 1/4" tall by almost 7/8" at the widest point.. Quality is similar to Weiss and Juliana/D&E but it is unsigned. In excellent vintage condition, estimated to date from the 1960s.

Fun and fairly large vintage pave rhinestone articulated lobster pin. Great detail, the body sways as you move. Body is gold plated with areas of clear pave rhinestone. Eyes are green rhinestones. It measures 2 3/4" long overall and is 1 1/2" wide at the antennae. Lobster pin is very well made but unsigned, estimated to date from the 1980s. In excellent vintage condition.

Gorgeous huge articulated tiger brooch meant to be worn over the shoulder. This is a heavy brooch best suited to heavy fabrics, such as a wool coat or jacket. It can be worn on the lapel too, it has 2 pins underneath, one placed at the front legs and one towards the back. The design is great, even the legs are articulated. It is gold plated with lots of clear rhinestones. The eyes are green rhinestones. The stripes are black enamel. It resembles a Ciner piece but is unsigned.
