I have always loved the look of natural stones. The nuggets on these vintage necklaces look like they were just picked off the Baltic shores. Each is cut as a fairly thick slice and in graduated sizes. The smallest is about 1/4"wide by 3/8" long by 1/8" thick. The largest is the pendant on the lavaliere style necklace. It measures 1 1/8" long by 15/16" wide and about 1/2" thick at the center.

Each pebble is hand cut, mostly oval in shape. Some are more translucent than other but the overall color is deep Cognac. There are crevices and other characteristics of natural stones but no damage. It is a very organic and natural look. The pebbles are each wire wrapped in gold filled wire which is tension held in a hand cut slot around each stone. Very labor intensive work that requires excellent cutting skills as Amber is brittle.

The graduate contiguous necklace measures 27 1/2" long, wearable length. The necklace with the pendant is 28" long, wearable length.  They look great together and because Amber is so light, they are very comfortable to wear. Sold together as a set.

Tested, guaranteed to be Natural Amber. This style and method of manufacture is typical of the Baltic Area, mostly Poland. Dates from the 1980s, in excellent vintage condition.
