~ Vintage Signed Miriam Haskell Gilt Key Brooch Pin with Amethyst Color Cabochon~

One of the hottest motifs by one of the best Costume Jewelry Designers ever! Since Tiffany recently launched a collection based on Antique Keys, they are sprouting everywhere. Talk about unlocking a trend!

This regal large key brooch or pin measures 3 5/8" long and is about 1 3/4" wide overall. The large Amethyst color glass cabochon measures 1" by 3/4" wide. It is surrounded by lions on three sides and a flower form at the base.

This beautiful brooch is in excellent vintage condition. Gold color has mellowed some and has a gorgeous patina. No green patina I can see. Signed on the reverse with the oval tag Miriam Haskell used from the 50s to the 60s, therefore dating this brooch to that period.
