Vintage Steam Punk Watch Movement Cufflinks

Made long before the term Steampunk was ever created, these are watch movement cufflinks and I believe they were salesman gifts from the Berex Watch Co.  Movements look identical, both are entirely gold plate and measure 25mm by 16mm (roughly 1" by 5/8" wide).  One movement is marked Seventeen Jewels, 2 adjustments, Swiss, Granby, the other is marked 6 Jewels.

In excellent vintage condition. Estimated to date from the 1930s as the cufflink stems read "Patent Pending".
