Beautiful illustrated cover in Art Deco style by Constance Wheeler. Exquisite imagery in superb detail.

The Golden Book magazine published October 1925, Volume II, number 10. Contains Gruen Guild Pocket Watch ad, Whitman's Chocolate and Johnson's Chocolate ads and other great advertisement pages and illustrations with wonderful graphics of the time.

Includes writings by:
Bunner
Wister
Cabell
Wilkins
Meredith
Stevenson
Tarkington
W. J. Locke
Julian Street
Katherine Manfield
Ellis Parker Butler

It is in very good condition with a vertical fold in the back cover, but no loss.

The Golden Book was the magazine of choice for Art and Book lovers. The lavishly designed covers were very expensive to print and were replaced by more modest ones once the US entered the Depression in the late 1920's.

The Art Deco cover illustrations are magnificent and the illustrations on the ads and articles are at least amusing. Many are beautiful.
