Antique Victorian Gold Filled Stone Cameo Lavaliere Necklace

Gorgeous antique Victorian Period cameo lavaliere necklace features a gorgeous fancy chain. I believe the chain is hand made. The cameo is fairly small and carved from banded Agate. The frame for the cameo is beautiful too. There is a small hook on the back for a locket or another pendant to be added, although the necklace looks gorgeous on just as it is.

The overall shade of the gold filled is roe-y gold, not as pink as Copper or Rose Gold, not as Yellow as yellow gold. The leaf shape at the bottom of the cameo is Rose Gold in color, warmer than the necklace. The frame above it is Green or Antique Gold in color. This is a truly beautiful necklace with great detail.

Overall length is 20" when clasped, not including the center piece which is 1 1/16" tall by 13/16" at the widest pint. Since it is hollow and dimensional it is 5/16" at the thickest point. Chain is1/4" wide overall.

In excellent condition with only minor loss of plating on the tongue and groove clasp due to age and regular wear. Estimated to date from the 1880s.
