Vintage Ethnic Claws Tassel Necklace

Wild Summer vintage Ethnic style long pendant necklace. The pendant is composed of 3 pairs of claws, assembled back to back and finished with a tassel and charms. It is wild indeed!

Each claw is carved out of horn and not a real claw, but it does look like it. The pairs are articulated making the pendant fluid, it moves as you do.  Metal is base metal, likely Copper, with silver plating.  The pendant is entirely hand made. The chain is also silver tone and it closes with a simple hook clasp.

The tassel is made of 5 lengths of chain, each finished with a charm, including 2 coins. There are Arabic letters on the charms, which leads me to believe necklace is Middle Eastern or perhaps from Northern Africa.

Measurement of the chain is 28" long approximately.  The pendant alone is 6 1/2" long including the tassel.  Pendant is 2 1/2" at the widest point.

Necklace is in excellent vintage condition. Estimated date is 1970s.
